I lost my mom when I was just a teenager but I’m constantly connected to her. I’m reminded, among many things, of her great elegance, her classy sense of style and mostly her inconceivable courage, and fierce determination to conquer her dreams. I had an intense need to pass that bond unto my girls somehow—thus the name “Anika Jasmine.”

My mother was a professional seamstress. She put great passion into making all of my clothes including my babydolls’. From a young age I enjoyed creating my own clothing styles that she would execute to perfection. My uncles in the same household were also tailors, so I was always surrounded with textiles, colors and prints and I loved it. Fashion is a part of me. I always knew I’d one day seriously get into it, I just didn’t know how.

I’m also a music artist, which has allowed me to travel a bit and perform at quite a few events. The fashionista in me is always in search of something not just beautiful but also unique and different to match my personal style which I describe as “Ethno-Boho-Chic”. I still remember the day that the idea came to me that I should start my own fashion retail business, that way I’d have my hands on  all of the beautiful pieces I could ever want plus make them accessible to women with tastes similar to mine..

I love to inspire and contribute to people’s wellbeing and I want to share my personal take on self-confidence and freedom of expression to the world through fashion.

I believe our outer covering is an extension of some of our deeper makeup. From our original traditions through the numerous values acquired in our pilgrimage through life,  we are each left with a certain taste which dictates our choices of clothing. Now the question is, can you conquer the freedom to boldly and freely wear what makes you feel beautiful and relevant?
